For anyone considering buying one of these 'phones, please do not make the mistake of thinking it will be as functional as a 'full blown' smart phone, because it has not been designed to be. However, if you neither want, or need, a smart phone with a high resolution camera and are mainly just loooking for a phone to make telephone calls whilst still having some limited Internet access, this is a very nice device to use in my opinion. Personally, I cannot really complain too much about the low image resolution camera (only 2MP) provided, as I rarely use my phone for taking pictures, preferring instead a good quality stand-alone digital camera. Probably my main disappointment with the Nokia 2720 is that actual telephone calls via Whatsapp are not possible (it only supports text and voice messaging, plus the abiliy to send still and video images) but hopefully, future updates to the KaiOS software might enable this.

I've used a flip for years which recently went kaput..this is an excellent replacement as I didn't want to use a smart phone

I may not be the right reviewer. Although an electronics engineer and owner of company dealing with marine electronics, I have no social media account, do not use WhatsApp and cherish my private life and time. I have always had a Nokia. From 2008 till 2020 I had Nokia E51 - all right several of them, till I could not find any and any spares and till I started having problems with areas with 4G only (like Singapore). So I bought a 2720 Flip in 2020. Absolutely splendid, but a bit fragile and lower quality plastic, compared to the half metal case of the E51. I have bought 2 more although mine is still working in order to make sure i am secure for a number of years ahead because I could not find any anymore in Romania.

For anyone who needs a backup phone or likes to avoid Smart Phones, but wants some functionality -- this device is for you! Great battery life (a bit under 1 week with high use), Wifi, GPS ... it works and does not seem to break if you drop it. Highly recommended if these points are of your interest. 2 SIM card slots ... it's got a lot!

Nice looking phone with 4G capability but some refinements needed

On the plus side, this phone looks neat and classy especially in the red/black. It has 4G capability and speech sound quality is good. On the negative side texting is rather basic with no icons available and changing upper & lower case really tedious. Have given up trying to download and install software updates, just never works. Have tried the Nokia helpline but no help whatsoever.

I decided to buy it because I found my smart fone had far to many possibilities that I didn't want, and that came flashing up on my screen, muddling with the things I really wanted to do. But the Nokia isn't simple for me - yet! I'm sure that once I've found my way around properly, I'll be very satisfied. It's already a great improvement on my smartfone.
